  • Once again, my resolve to blogify more consistently for my 3 (or whatever the number's down to) fans has dried up faster than Michael Vick's career.

I really don't have a great deal to say now, either, but I do have something very important to say.  For all whose thoughts and prayers have been with my stepmom, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  The surgery was Tuesday morning, and everything went well.  The tumor on her pancreas, though larger than originally thought, was completely removed successfully.  Thanks be to God, it was not malignant.  The small tumor blocking her bile duct was also removed, and she is currently recovering at Univ. of Cincinnati Hospital.  The small tumor blocking her bile duct, which was what was causing her to get sick, was what the doctors were checking out when they discovered the tumor on her pancreas.  Otherwise, things could have been a lot more dire.  Make no mistake, that was not luck or happenstance.  The Lord was watching over her, and I'm very thankful.  She's still got quite a bit of recovering to do, so continue to keep her in your prayers.  Send a few up for my dad as well.  He's been through a rough stretch emotionally, having all this on his mind after having already lost one wife.  Seeing my stepmom in a hospital bed with tubes and wires attached to her, after having logged a lot of hours in hospital rooms with my mom over the years, wasn't the easiest thing to me either.  I can only imagine how it hits Dad.

Thanks once again, and praise be to God for this, and the countless other miracles He has performed in our lives.
